Three words: red power suit. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I attended the UW Fashion Week fashion show this past weekend. I was invited by the on-campus student-run fashion publication, Moda Magazine, who produced this fashion show finale. I had such a fun time and was so happy to spend my Friday night in Madison seeing the show. You can read about my experience in detail here. As for the outfit, I wanted to represent myself and my blog the best way I knew how:
I wanted to dress my absolute best, make a statement and feel confident in what I was wearing – the essence of Decadence Fashion. The most suitable attire for the occasion was this amazing red power suit by Vince Camuto. Power suits have definitely been a fan favorite recently, and it’s obvious why. Wearing a power suit makes you look and feel like the powerful woman you are. This one definitely amplified this fearlessness.
This blazer and pant ensemble has the ideal amount of femininity and chicness with a touch of sophistication. The suit portrays a balance of ‘carefree’ and ‘serious’ that I couldn’t love more. The red-orange color is absolutely striking and doesn’t fail to be flattering against my skin and hair. The unexpected details of the blazer elevate this otherwise classic silhouette. As you can see, the blazer has this corset lace-up detailing on the lower back of the blazer. This design definitely makes the suit modern and fit for 2018.
For the rest of the look, I wore nude heeled sandals from Steve Madden and carried a leopard print wristlet by Coach. The touch of leopard print compliments exceptionally against the punch of geranium color.
Thank you Moda Magazine for inviting me!
