Happy Halloween! Hope you all had a fun weekend celebrating! Mine was an eventful one filled with many festive activities. I have not been able to really enjoy this season yet, and doing all the enjoyable activities, so I was excited to finally be able to. It was not as cold out this weekend, so I dressed in light fall layers. See more of my fall outfit and Halloween weekend festivities below!
On Saturday, my roommates and I first went to a pumpkin patch and then explored a small town that had the most adorable shops. Among the stores, was this candy shop that had the most amazing fall treats, including gourmet caramel apples. As soon as you walked in, the most delicious, sweet smell of chocolates and candies completely enwrapped you. Obviously being a chocolate addict, it was heavenly.
This year, I dressed up as a pumpkin (classic) and it turned out so well! It was very easy to put together. I bought an oversized, orange t-shirt and painted a pumpkin face on it. Thankfully, my skill at free-hand drawing is not that bad so this was able to turn out well! I wore a cute pair of Halloween socks and booties to dress it up more, accessorizing with a velvet choker.
It was warmer out this past weekend, so I was able to wear light fall layers during our Saturday exploration. I do love the season, but the weather can fluctuate often. It is good to have go-to outfits that are wearable for any kind of weather. Moreover, layering is key for this as you can layer on as many clothes as you need. For this outfit, I only need to layer a long-sleeve and a cardigan.
Essentially, cardigans will be one of those clothing items that you will wear all the time in fall. They are a staple you have to have in your closet – especially when you want to dress in light fall layers. I am in love with the oversized cardigan sweater I am wearing. It is perfect and definitely an essential for me. It keeps you warm enough without being too bulky. The taupe color is my favorite! In addition, the quality of this cardigan is great and I know it will for sure last no matter how many times I wear it. Of course, I paired the look with my go-to fall booties and accessorized with my everyday delicate, gold jewelry.
Lastly, what did you dress up as for Halloween this year?? I would love to know in the comments below!
P.S. How cute is that pink pumpkin I found!
